What to do if the supplier invite was sent to the wrong person?
Last updated: February 6, 2026
This article explains what to do if a supplier invitation was sent to the wrong person. You’ll learn how access can be corrected either by adding a collaborator or by contacting the requesting organisation, and why Omnea support cannot grant access on a customer’s behalf, or where someone else in their organisation should be responsible instead.
Guide
If the invitation was sent to the wrong person, there are two supported ways to resolve this:
Option 1: Add the correct person as a collaborator
The originally invited person signs into Omnea using their magic link.
Open the task from the supplier dashboard.
Use the Collaborate with your colleagues banner or the plus (+) icon.
Add the correct colleague (name and email).
The new collaborator will receive their own access and notifications.
Option 2: Contact the requesting organisation
Reach out directly to your contact at the requesting organisation.
Ask them to update the request so the correct person is assigned to the task.
Once updated, the newly assigned person will receive an invitation from Omnea.
How it works
Access to Omnea is controlled by the requesting organisation. Invitations are tied to specific email addresses and tasks. Changes to who is assigned can only be made either by:
A supplier adding a collaborator, or
The requesting organisation updating the request on their side.
Important to know
Omnea support cannot grant supplier access or change assignees on behalf of a customer.
Omnea support will not reassign tasks or add users for suppliers.
Access changes must be handled by the supplier team or the requesting organisation directly.
Considerations
If the original recipient cannot log in at all, contacting the requesting organisation is the fastest option.
Adding a collaborator allows multiple people to work on the same task without changing the original assignment.
Always use the correct business email address to ensure access works as expected.
